I decided to reach out to Lauren for help when I felt I needed that extra push along with someone extremely knowledgeable in the fitness/nutrition area. With so many new do's and don'ts in the food category I didn't know where to start. Lauren was really great, not only providing a great menu but also why I should and shouldn't eat certain things. It was a major change in my diet, I was trying to gain weight, I had to eat much more regularly and being always on the go with work it made that very difficult. Lauren was able to give me great meal solutions and keep me motivated. I gained 10+ pounds in two month which I thought was impossible. I started at 150 and am pushing 165 to date.
The way I felt once the exercise and diet became part of my daily routine was more surprising than I planned. Of course I had more energy, slept better and seemed to be in an overall better mood but that wasn't all of it. I saved tons of money not eating out nearly as much and cutting way back on drinking. My priorities changed and I love every second of it. It really is a life change and once you're mentally prepared to do so Lauren is no doubt the best person to help you reach your goals. Going through the 12 week Transformation program with Lauren Rae has taught me a lot about my body and myself. As a former athlete, I had always been involved in extensive training programs throughout college. It wasn’t until years later, as a full-time graduate student, that I realized how far I had come away from the once disciplined athlete. My scheduled had fully engulfed me, and devoting any free time to myself seemed impossible. Seeing Lauren’s transformation and successes in life and on stage truly motivated me to make a change within myself. Lauren Rae has been the best coach I have ever had! Lauren taught me how to utilize a clean diet and any time in the gym for my benefit, no matter how little that time may have been. She knew exactly how to give me fresh and tasty ingredients that would keep things interesting, and feed my body the way it truly needed. A couple of years after college, I decided it was time to start working out again, but after about a year and a half of going through the motions at the gym, I was unhappy with my lack of results. Around this time, I stumbled upon Derek Weida's Facebook page (check him out if you don't mind some foul language and if you aren't easily offended), where I found the motivation I needed to start training harder. However, I knew that my nutrition also needed help if I wanted to see any real results from my time in the gym, and Lauren was the first and only person I thought of to ask for help in that area. Lauren was a friend from high school and I'd witnessed her successful fitness journey through social media, so I knew I could trust her and her nutritional expertise. She showed me the healthy foods I needed and the correct portions to eat for my goals. Most importantly, Lauren gave me the encouragement I needed at the beginning, when it's the most difficult to make the transition from bad eating habits to healthy habits. She was aware of my tendency to seek perfection and let me know I didn't have to get everything exactly right all the time. She encouraged me to make my nutrition fit my life, rather than letting my nutrition dictate my life. It took a little time and some trial and error, but just like Lauren told me it would, livinghealthy and fitness has become second nature.
