HUMMUS!

If you like this popular appetizer...

Try the less-guilt, Fit Foodie version!

 

This is one of my favorite versions... Cilantro and Jalapeno Hummus

 

What you'll need:

 

2 Cans of Organic Garbanzo Beans

2 Garlic cloves

Juice of 1 Lemon

Juice of 1 Lime

1/8 c Cold Pressed Olive Oil

2 Tbsp Tahini (optional)

1 Bunch of Fresh Cilantro (washed and dried)

1 Jalapeno

1 Tbsp Green Tobasco

 

Strain one can of Garbanzo beans and add 1 cup of liquid from the second can. Combine all remaining ingredients in a blender or Vitamix, or pulse in a food processor until smooth.  Serve chilled with home made baked pita chips or a veggie plate!
